Castle Park

Castle Park, just 50 meters from Broadmead is on the original site of a castle which was built after the Norman Conquest of 1066. The archaeological remains of Bristol Castle keep and curtain wall can still be viewed today. The park offers a quiet place to sit or stroll, next to the waters of the city harbour. The park is also a focus for many pieces of artwork, from creative seats and a carved throne to a unique water fountain. Children can explore the “castle” playground in the attractive leafy setting, and you can take time out from the hustle and bustle of the city.
