Get Involved
Whether you are a retailer within the city centre shopping area, a customer or just someone who is interested in the area, your opinions and feedback are very important to us.
Our BID team will be driven by retailers and customers views, which is why we will consult as widely as possible at every stage. There are a number of different ways in which you can become involved.
Retailers are very welcome to join our BID 2 marketing group – a great opportunity to develop a close relationship with the Bristol City Centre Shopping marketing team which will help you to maximise the impact of your promotional activities. The group meets once a month for an hour.
We are making every effort to find out what our customers think of the Bristol City Centre Shopping area and how they think we can improve their shopping experience. A comprehensive research project was carried out by Destination Bristol in the summer of 2010 in 6 of our competitor cities and the results of this survey have formed the basis of our focus for the remainder of BID 2.
We are interested in re-establishing a Focus Group which comprises interested customers meeting with us on a regular basis to give us their opinions and feedback about the retail area.
Do you work in the centre, or maybe you’re a student in Bristol, perhaps you haven’t visited Bristol City Centre shopping area before or prefer to shop elsewhere...
We would aim to meet on a monthly basis in a central location and discuss perceptions and experiences of shopping in Bristol City Centre. What can be improved, what would make you shop there more frequently, how should the area be marketed? If you have anything to say, good or bad we’d like to hear from you.
For more information, please email Jo Hawkins.
We have also set up a Facebook group for the City Centre Retail Area which provides the opportunity to share information with a large audience. This will be updated regularly and includes the ability to upload photos, links, events and store offers. Additionally, we have created a Twitter profile, which is a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables users to send and read other users’ updates. This will be utilised for providing updates on the City Centre Retail Area activity and we can also upload links to relevant websites. Both sites provide the opportunity for anyone to share their thoughts on the City Centre Retail Area with us.
Whoever you are, if you are interested in helping us to make the Bristol city centre shopping area a better place, then please get in touch – we’re waiting to hear from you!
