BARCLAYS OPEN A NEW FLAGSHIP BRANCH IN BROADMEAD

We are thrilled to announce the opening of Barclays Bank's new flagship branch in the centre of Broadmead on 5 July. Situated at The Podium, opposite BHS, the unit has undergone an amazing shopfit.
Barclays opened its new flagship store at 53 - 55 Broadmead on Monday 5th July relocating from offices approximately 100 metres away.
David Knight, area director for Barclays UK Retail Baking in Bristol said: "We have listened to what our customers told us and as a result, this move will make banking with Barclays as easy and enjoyable as possible - and this branch, right here in the heart of Bristol will deliver on that.
"The new branch embraces innovative technology and design which will enable our customers to bank with us in a way that suits them and in surroundings that are comfortable and accessible for all."
Mr Knight added; "The move has been a long-term project for us but has been well worth the wait.
The new premises allow us to deliver the great service our customers expect and the investment in the new premises confirms our commitment to Bristol city centre."
There will be more space for customers, 4,639 sq ft in total.
Barclays has hired new staff in readiness - 30 staff will work at the new branch.
Other branches in Bristol and surrounding area are and will be re-furbished in the new future.
